Junior Consultant – Anaesthesia Job Title: Junior Consultant – Anaesthesia Department: Anaesthesiology Reports To: Head of Department / Senior Consultant – Anaesthesia Location: [Hospital/Institution Name] Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessment and anaesthesia planning. • Administer general, regional, and monitored anaesthesia under appropriate supervision. • Monitor patients intra-operatively and manage airway, ventilation, haemodynamics, and anaesthetic complications. • Provide post-operative pain management and monitor recovery from anaesthesia. • Attend anaesthesia-related emergencies and provide resuscitation support when required. • Assist in management of critically ill patients in ICU/HDU, as applicable. • Maintain accurate patient records, anaesthesia charts, and clinical documentation. • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection-control standards, and patient-safety practices. • Participate in OT duties, emergency/on-call services, teaching, audits, and departmental meetings. • Coordinate effectively with surgeons, intensivists, nursing staff, and other clinical teams.
